Product Information
CARTS Commercial Goods & Cargo in Transit Insurance cover for any accidental loss or damage to goods in transit. The cover provides floor to floor coverage, commencing at the point of loading and terminating when goods are received inside the intended destination.
Excess of $500 AUD applied depending on the type of goods being selected. Please read the relevant policy documents for full details.
There are two types of cover available:
Single Transit Within Australia
This cover is for moving commercial goods within Australia. Cover includes:
- Accidental loss or damage to the goods in transit
- Loading and unloading, loss or damage
- All retail and sales packaging
- Shipping containers in your care, custody or control for which you are liable up to a limit of $50,000

Cargo Import to and Export from Australia
This covers accidental loss or damage to import or export of cargo in transit to and from Australia.
The policy cover includes: Theft, Pilferage, Non-delivery, Fire, Flood, Collision, Explosion, retail and sales packaging, return goods inwards or outwards, Brands and label clause, Delayed unpacking clause, Duty clause (Australian imports only), Clean-up costs, Expediting expenses - extra airfreight costs for replacement parts, Fumigation clause, General average and salvage clause, Strikes diversion expenses clause, Shut out period while waiting on the wharf, quay or pier.
